Singing has been for many years both my work and my passion, which I eagerly share with others. This is the reason why I invite everyone to take part in my workshops, which I organize at least twice a year: in winter and in summer. A constant form of workshop are rehearsals of the consort „LOS BILBILICOS”. For anyone interested in learning music individually, I offer singing lessons. It is also possible to learn singing with guitar accompaniment.
Workshops
I try to share this knowledge during rehearsals through various exercises, often invented especially by me and connected with voice emission, rythm and breathing. Sometimes they become a type of a sound game. Of course, technical exercises are only the beginning. The main aim of a workshop is to learn songs connected with a particular country, epoque or style. While working on a song, I usually also try to teach the expression, as well as rythms and ornaments characteristic to the given genre. For me singing is a way of demonstrating our deeply hidden emotions, which sometimes are easier to sing than to say :-) Nevertheless, to make the expression really free, we need to have a good technique which will allow us to sing at ease. I am searching all the time - I am open to learning and to new experiences. I encourage everybody to do the same because I am deeply convinced that singing opens various, sometimes surprising paths in our lives... Learning singing and voice emission
Voice emission can also be useful for people who use their voice at work, for example teachers, trainers in workshops, lecturers. Good voice emission makes the voice sound better and louder and, what is more important, it makes our vocal cords work less, so that they can serve us till very advanced age. Individual singing lessons, depending on how advanced the student is, contain various vocal and breathing exercises, very often prepared especially by the teacher (look the description in Workshops and lessons). For advanced learners, singing lessons can be connected with work on a particular repertoire. Depending on the level, the lessons may aim at improving the style, manner of emitting the voice, ornamenting and interpretation of songs or learning how to pronounce words while singing. I give private singing lessons and voice emission lessons in Warsaw. Apart from that, twice a year I run workshop outside Warsaw, which can be a singing workshop or a singing and dance workshop (look Workshop and lessons). During my artistic career I have studied a lot of vocal techniques connected with ancient and folk music (for example ethnic singing), classical music (like „bel canto”) as well as pop music. Nevertheless, the basis of every technique is the same: learning how to breath well and how to use it in singing, the ability to use the appropriate register (depending on the pitch of a tone and the expression desired) and relaxing the throat while singing. Learning these abilities makes singing a real pleasure :-)
Learning singing and voice emission is available for everybody: the advanced singers and the ones who would like to get to know their own voice and „hear” it for the first time. There is no age limit.RIVEIRO Music 2011
